Review: Anasism Lipcream (Local Cosmetic)

Well, hello there, and for the first time ever..I am going to do a cosmetic review. And it is local, btw. I'm sure its safe to use and can be trusted. So here i'm going to tell you what are my thoughts about this ANAS lip cream! Keep on reading!

Remember when ANASism had controversy all over social media, especially in Instagram and Twitter? Actually, i was TOO joined the "kecaman" and "hentaman" about this product before. I didn't understand myself too why i bashed the cosmetic. All the girls said that Anas (the founder of ANASism cosmetic) copied NARS. I dont know which part of them saying that it was a copy-paste design and all that. I was just being a keyboard warrior back then lol.

It was another thing, then came another controversy came from ANASism which is the video part. Remember when the girls in the video dancing while holding tropical fruits with Bum Bum Tam Tam song? I remembered. It was annoying bcs i hate that song, and i didn't understand what were they promoting at with all the fruits? But luckily Sharifah Rose (in the video) danced very well, so i enjoyed it lol.

So with all the hatred they got, made me wonder of should i try this controversial lip cream? And yeah i finally bought it. I've just bought them last 2 weeks btw. But before i decided to buy & try, i saw a video review on Intan Kaharuddin instagram (visit her ig). So she said, this lip cream is kissproof, smells like chocolate (i was wondering about this), one coat can fully cover your lips, your lip cream stays on the lips after you eat rendang, mee kari and all that, lightweight and doesn't stick to one another.

First! I bought Anasism lip cream that costs RM49.90, in the shade Warda bcs i heard it was the best selling lip cream among the shades they have. I bought it at anasism.com during public holiday, i mean the next day was the public holiday. I got this very late bcs yeah obviously it was a public holiday. I can't get mad about that. Haha.

My first thought, first impression before i tried it on the lips are the packaging is fancyyy. I really really love the packaging. The box that came with the lip cream is so gorgeous and very professional i guess. The lip cream came with frost looking glass and the applicator is so easy to use. Alright, the Warda shade! Hmm i've tried it on and it didn't suits my skin tone. I have medium skin tone and i have high pigmentation on the lips so Warda is not the best color for me. Actually i was thinking to buy Aisya shade bcs it is a little deeper than Warda. Warda is a peachy with pinkish color shade. So i guess it is more suitable with light/fair skin tone.

The picture may differ due to light and camera settings.

Then i bought a new one which is in the shade Amara. I bought it online in Saturday and i got it on Monday. So it was a fast delivery service! Amara is an orangey, brownish with a little red looking color. And yes i love this one more! Sometimes it kinda looks like i'm wearing a heavy makeup only by applying this on the lips. I work at the kindergarten and yeah i do noticed parents looked at me on the lips instead of their children lol. I mean, yeah i guess the color is kinda heavy to use as a daily routine haha but i'm totally fine with it.

So i want to give my final thoughts about Warda and Amara shade. As far as i know, Warda is their first batch color shade and it was a best selling lip cream shade. While Amara is their second batch. Between Warda & Amara, the 2nd batch lip cream which is Amara is much EASIER to apply on the lips. I feel that Amara have light consistency feeling on the lips and i feel that i'm not wearing any lipstick on. It dries to a fluffy and marshmallow looking lips. Yes it is kissproof, yes you just have to use one coat, feels lightweight and didn't stick to one another. What about Warda? When i applied Warda on, it didn't feel lightweight as Amara. It feels too waxy and "hard"? Feels like i put a lot of coat on the lips (i just use one coat btw). It dries to a wrinkled looking lips and gorl its not cute! However, even though Warda is a bit lighter but it can fully cover my high pigmentation lips.

After i take one meal. The lip cream only stays around the outside of my lips. This in the shade Amara btw.

I want to conclude both comments/opinions about Warda & Amara. The lip cream is NOT exactly smells like chocolate, but it does have a pleasant smell. I have smell this before in another lip cream product. The lip cream is kiss-proof but the color didn't stays on the lips after you ate rendang, maggi, nasi, mee kari, karipap and etc. I'm actually fine with that. I didn't mind that at all but they claimed their lip cream meant to be 'stays on lips all day long' and i was a bit disappointed. I have tried putting Warda shade all over my lips and then puts Amara on the center of my lips but it turned out very weird looking lips. Lol. Bcs i guess of the Warda. It is too waxy and it turns to a hideous looking color after i take a meal. My students looked at me very strangely. Lololol

*Correction: Amara NOT AMINA*

Overall, i love their lip cream. They provide various gorgeous shades and i am thinking to try another shades they have and their Apam blending sponge, also their new eyeshadow. But hmm.....i'm not into makeup now because dah muak. Hahahhh

Beauty Slang Terms You Need To Know

Halo selamat tengah hari. Hari ni rajin nak update mengenai Makeup Terms yang orang dok sebut-sebut tapi awak tak faham satu apa pun. Sekarang mana-mana MUA Malaysia suka guna makeup terms in English. Lagilah peningkan. I hope these will help you to clear out your confusions.

1. Eyes Area

Let's start with the word crease. Apa tu crease? Haa kalau guna Google translate maksudnya berkedut/lipatan. Of course ler di bahagian mata. Crease ialah bahagian lipatan mata awak.

This photo explains evvvverything. Some of the times, we start our eye makeup look by blending or applying the eye shadow on a crease. Macam I juga. I always start on my crease first and then my lid. But one thing you have to not forget, which is blend out the eye shadow on a crease. Jangan biarkan eye shadow bertompok, tebal or looking sharp on a crease. No girl! You look like someone punch you in a face. Rules  nombor satu dalam makeup ialah BLEND. Foundation kena blend. Contouring pun kena blend.

Kemudian, eyelid. Eyelid semua orang tahu tu apa. I explain the common things yang MUA selalu sebut ok, so the rest I just skip. Next is waterline. OK. When it comes to waterline, you have to remember it is WET.

And they use highlighter powder or shimmery powder on inner corner to lighten & brighten your eyes. For those who want to look natural with less makeup on, just put the highlighter on your inner corner. Awak akan nampak segar dan mata you berkilau sangat. Outer corner pula di bahagian luar kelopak mata. Kat mana tu?

Swatch is when you apply any liquid comes from foundation, lipstick or any beauty products on your skin. Tu dia swatch. Kalau orang cakap "Ive swatched this lipstick 2 times." Maksudnya dia dah guna sebanyak 2 kali sahaja. Simple as that kan?

3. Dupe

Dupe is an abbreviation of duplicate. Contohnya Maybelline Fit Me Concealer selalu dikatakan oleh MUA atau vlogger YouTube sebagai 'dupe' kepada NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.

Haa kesimpulannya, Maybelline concealer ni copy kepada NARS concealer. That's why some of the vloggers or MUAs like to compare these two because they look the same, also the texture of it kinda same.

So, dapat apa-apa input daripada kelas hari ni? Haha. So today, I manage to explain only 3 terms to you. I will continue with another makeup or beauty terms on another day, in shaa Allah. TQ for reading. Baii.

Review: Nature Republic Aloe Vera

Hello guys. Yap for the first time, baru nak buat review. So sorry for taking a lot of time to post. Okay so now, I'm going to review a Nature Republic Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92%. I know some of you already know the benefits of the product. But I think I wanna share my experience using this product. And yup keep on reading!

I never tried or bought this product before. This was my sisters'. So, I think I just want to use a lil bit for me. At first, yeah it feels normal & nothing after I applied the gel on my skin. But I was surprised after I use it on my dry skin around my neck. It really works! My dry skin is getting better.

Let me tell you the story the day I got dry patches around my neck. I was in my college that day. Dan......air paip di kolej sangat kotor. Macam air berkarat. It was normal for me. Biasalah duduk di Selangor memang selalu mengalami ketiadaan air or worse, air kotor. But we just took a shower despite of the dirty water. One of my housemates said she had dry patches on her face and she claimed that it was from the dirty water. But then, I realized I had dry patches too around my neck the next day. Banyak sangat. Merah-merah, bersisik, kering.....semuanya sebab air kotor tu. Tapi kat muka tak kena dry patches. Just around my neck. So masa tu baru tahu, kalau I allergic dengan benda-benda kotor, usually my neck will get dry patches or pimples. Muka jarang.

*taken from Google*

So I pun letak lah ubat sapu from Shaklee if I'm not mistaken, and let it do their work but it doesn't work at all. Then my housemate gave me her some kind of oil, argan oil if I'm not mistaken. It didn't work too. Pastu, I pun baliklah rumah for the weekend. At home, I saw this NR Aloe Vera in my fridge and I think I would like to try it. It worked like magic! Merah-merah macam dalam gambar tu dah takde! Kering bersisik dah hilang! Fuuhh. I was very happy it finally worked.

Mula-mula I sapu gel tu around my problematic area at night then I went to bed. Dia dah getting better the next day. So I nampak positive reaction di situ, I kept applying the gel at night before I went to bed. In 2 days dah elok! My dry patches back to normal. Since then, I looooove this product. This is my holy grail.

Not only that. It really works to get rid of zits. Everytime there are new zits, I applied the gel on top of it.

Look how my zits & scars faded. But my scars didn't fully faded. It takes time and depends on how frequent you apply the gel. Instead you can use any ubat jerawat or bio oil ke untuk parut fully faded. OK? Aloe vera ni membantu keringkan & kecutkan jerawat. Kalau untuk parut, for the first week dia dah start faded. Tapi dia tidak hilang sepenuhnya. So that's why I sarankan pakai macam bio oil terus.

Lagi apa ya benefits aloe vera ni? Ok lagi satu nak bagitahu. Last month, I had small cuts on my finger. It happens when I did my house chores. Tak silap I tengah bersihkan tandas rumah hahaha. Setel bersihkan toilet, I straight to the sink to wash the dishes. Tiba-tiba rasa macam pedih, sengat kat jari pehal tah. Bila godek-godek, terluka rupanya. Tak perasan lah kalau terkena benda tajam ke apa. And it was on my right hand.

Then I put the aloe vera gel on top of it and let it be. Tapi untuk lebih berkesan, letak gel before going to bed. So that the gel can do their work while in a sleep.

Rupa dia sangat tak cantik masa ni sebab kulit sedang menggelupas. It looks dry.

In a few days, you will get your own skin back. Just keep on applying the gel. Gebu gebas kulit kauuu. Kahkah

So that's it about my review on NR Aloe Vera 92%. You can use this product as your daily moisturizer. The texture of the gel is water based and it has matte finish after you apply it on the skin. And one thing you must know, you can use this product as your tinted moisturizer. Hari tu, I mixed the gel with my concealer. Make sure nisbah gel tu tak lebih, nanti terlalu dewy/moist.

My advice is put the gel on a fridge. Dan of course, beli yang original from Nature Republic store. Kalau takde yang NR ni, The Face Shop pun ada. It's just, I never tried the gel from Face Shop. So I don't know whether it works the same as NR.

Ok see you on the next post.
